چکیده
Abstract The efficient simulation of complex fracture processes is still a challenging task. In this contribution, an enriched phase-field method for the 2D presented. It has potential to drastically reduce computational cost compared classical (PFM). based on combination approach with ansatz transformation and enrichment technique displacement field as it used in extended finite element (XFEM) or generalised (GFEM). This allows application significantly coarser meshes than possible PFM while obtaining accurate solutions. contrast XFEM / GFEM, presented does not require level set techniques explicit representations crack geometries, considerably simplifying initiation, propagation, coalescence. efficiency accuracy new shown simulations.

An Efficient Implementation of Phase Field Method with Explicit Time Integration
The phase field method integrates the Griffith theory and damage mechanics approach to predict crack initiation, propagation, and branching within one framework. No crack tracking topology is needed, and complex crack shapes can be captures without user intervention. In this paper, a detailed description of how the phase field method is implemented with explicit dynamics into LS-DYNA is provide...
متن کاملAn efficient moving mesh spectral method for the phase-field model of two-phase flows
We develop in this paper a moving mesh spectral method for the phase-field model of twophase flows with non-periodic boundary conditions. The method is based on a variational moving mesh PDE for the phase function, coupled with efficient semi-implicit treatments for advancing the mesh function, the phase function and the velocity and pressure in a decoupled manner. Ample numerical results are p...
متن کاملsimulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water
abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
A simple and efficient scheme for phase field crystal simulation
We propose an unconditionally stable semi-implicit time discretization of the phase field crystal evolution. It is based on splitting the underlying energy into convex and concave parts and then performing H gradient descent steps implicitly for the former and explicitly for the latter. The splitting is effected in such a way that the resulting equations are linear in each time step and allow a...
